Braille Scale Jeep Blog has been resurrected!

The recent release of S-model's 1/72 scale jeep (and my subsequent purchase of it) has led me to resurrect my Braille Scale Jeep blog. The aim is to have a comprehensive review of all 1/72 scale jeep plastic kits available. It will be a long process and I'll be continually updating the posts with pictures and comments. Check it out here.

Working with shapeways FUD

I want to thank those of you who have bought products from our shapeways store. 3D printing is a brave new world, and for those of you who has plunged in to try it out, I hope that you are satisfied with our products.

Currently, our products are only available in Frosted Ultra Detail material in shapeways as this is the only option that can achieve the level of detail required. As far as 3d printing materials go, FUD is currently one of the best in terms of fine detail and precision.

However as with any modelling material, there are pros and cons. The better you know your medium, the more enjoyable your modelling endeavour will be.

I've got exciting news for BSBCE's (braille scale bren carrier enthusiasts). We've just opened our new store on shapeways. After several months of development, we are pleased to announce that our 1/72 scale 1 piece bren carrier tracks are now available through our shapeways store.
The item is so fresh off the oven that we haven't had a chance to take photos of the tracks in use. The tracks are meant for IBG's fantastic series of 1/72 Universal / Bren carriers.
Shapeways is an amazing 3D printing portal that offers highly detailed 3D printed models from precision CAD files.

Carrier Deployed!

Finished at the same time as the bofors, the universal carrier mk1 took a bit more effort but was equally satisfying to build and finish! The first completed models for 2013!

Bofors Deployed!

She's finally painted and looking all ready for action. I'm still quite stoked from building and finishing these little gems. Now what to do with the 2 gun tractors that came with the kit?
