Painting an Army

I recently finished painting en-masse - US WW2 GI's from Valiant Miniatures in 1/72 scale or roughly 24 mm.

Ideally I'd like to know the steps of how you did it. I've bought valiant and the results you shown here are impressive. Please show me the steps you undertook to achieve these results.

Thanks for the compliment. It's been a while but if I remember correctly, I started with spray on Tamiya Grey Primer. All other paint are done with brush and using Vallejo Vinyl Acrylic paint. I started with flesh tones adding a base colour, followed by shading and highlights. Next were the Tan coloured coats, again, base colour and then shading and highlights. After that, I painted the pants with the same technique. Then finally all the small details like the weapons, helmets, boots, etc.
