Airfix Bomber Re-supply set soft skins

Some progress pics of the 1/72 Tilly and Bedford from the Airfix Bomber Re-supply set. Refining my weathering techniques. Basecoat is from a humbrol spraycan. Followed by details and dark shade wash using Vallejo acrylics brushed on. A bit of future where the decals were placed.

Finished at the same time as the bofors, the universal carrier mk1 took a bit more effort but was equally satisfying to build and finish! The first completed models for 2013!

 She's finally painted and looking all ready for action. I'm still quite stoked from building and finishing these little gems. Now what to do with the 2 gun tractors that came with the kit?

1/76 Airifx Universal Carrier

 Here's an oldie - the 1/76 Airfix Universal Carrier. I'm building this for a 1941 Kallang Airfield diorama (WW2 Singapore).

DB bombs away

 Finally had a chance to take some photos of the finished bomb trolleys hooked up to the DB bomb tractor. All ready for the Kallang Airfield.

Here's an update on the David Brown RAF ww2 bomb tractor (whew, that's a mouthful). Almost finished, just needs a few touch ups on the driver's face, some hilites on the steering wheel and a lens for the headlight.

There is an ongoing Airfix Group Build portraying Singapore's Kallang airport as it appeared in 1941 as an RAF airfield during the early days of WW2 in the east. Of course I rarely if ever, build model airplanes, but this was a very interesting project and I wanted to take part by at least building some ground support vehicles.

Here's my first piece, a David Brown Bomb Tractor as used by the RAF.
